1. The most underrated musical.

Spring Awakening. For the set being so plain, the musical is touching. They don’t need any fancy lightwork to get their point across. I don’t usually cry but I cried during it. The actors in the original cast were absolutely incredible. Moritz was remarkable, especially during his suicide scene. Melchior in the end brought tears to my eyes. Also, for the audience to be so close to the stage is extremely difficult for actors. I’ve had to perform like that and you have to be on top of everything because the audience can see every mistake.
